Tour 1: Ballarat Heritage Walking Tour Presented by City of Ballarat

A guided tour through Ballarat’s beautiful, gold-rush era heritage streetscapes, and hear about the UNESCO World Heritage Bid. Led by heritage and history experts at the City of Ballarat.

Tour 2: Woowookarung Regional Park Walking Tour Presented by Parks Victoria
Departure/Return Point: Good Sheds, Events Hall, Platform 12

The tour will feature commentary and a site visit.
A guided tour of the Woowookarung Regional Park, including its award-winning Dementia Trail, which sits adjacent Ballarat and offers beautiful views across our ‘city in the landscape’. Learn about the challenges of a city-side Regional Park, its history, and plans for the future. Led by Parks Victoria Rangers.

Federation University Walking Tour
Showcasing best practice adaptive re-use of a heritage building, this guided tour of a newly refurbished heritage building with high-end technology in Ballarat’s Federation University is led by the project manager.
Nightingale Ballarat Walking Tour
Showcasing a regional benchmark in sustainable design and living, this guided tour of Nightingale Ballarat is led by the developer, Hygge Properties.
Designed by Breathe Architecture and constructed by local contractor H. Troon, Nightingale Ballarat was completed in early 2022, with materials that were recycled and locally sourced wherever possible.
Nightingale Ballarat comprises 27 apartments, a shared community rooftop garden, a café and office space and boasts an 8+ Star NatHERS rating and is powered by solar and 100% GreenPower.
