About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated service delivery professional to join our positive and friendly team. The Senior Planning Support Officer is responsible for providing high level customer service and administration for the Panning Services Unit. We are looking for someone who can deliver outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders and has exceptional communications skills.
Reporting to the Team Leader – Planning Support the core responsibilities include:
- Supporting Planning Support team members on matters of planning and administrative support.
- Lead the daily resourcing and allocation of tasks for the Planning Support team.
- Lead and support the training of Planning Support team members.
- Providing excellent customer service to colleagues, ratepayers and members of the public in an effective, efficient and timely manner.
- Assist in the relevant processes and procedures in accordance with Council’s legislative requirements.
About You
- Ability to work effectively in a strong team environment and contribute to team goals and objectives.
- Ability to manage own time, set priorities, and plan work to achieve agreed timeframes.
- Ability to solve problems using policies and procedures with guidance.
- General knowledge of the disciplines of statutory planning and/or council procedures an advantage.
- Experience in a service field, or in areas requiring high levels of contact with the public.
- Well-developed skills in service delivery and administration procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in computer applications such as GIS, CRM, Outlook, Ci, highly regarded but not essential.
