The City of Sydney has an exciting opportunity available for a qualified, experienced and motivated person to work as part of our friendly and professional Planning Assessments Team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the City’s response to sustainability planning controls including, providing advice to applicants, input into assessments, follow up post consent sustainability commitments, employee training and creating resources, development of systems and processes.
You’ll support the implementation of the City's own net zero initiatives, evaluate current City asset performance, identifying opportunities for environmental efficiency improvements, and execute retrofitting projects.
To be the successful candidate, you must have:
- tertiary and/ or professionally recognised qualifications / direct experience in sustainable building services, plant and assets across technical services within all facets of building and infrastructure
- experience in the assessment or development of planning related application sustainability tools and standards
- proven ability to develop and focus on sustainable asset management strategies and deliverables around ROI and criticality within portfolios.
