The Role
Greater Bendigo is experiencing an exciting period of growth, innovation and evolution as one of Victoria’s great regional cities. With our growing population, the development complexity, variety and challenges require careful management by our Statuary Planning unit.
As part of a large, collaborative team, you will lead and develop a team of enthusiastic planning professionals, to deliver excellent customer service and high-quality planning decisions to guide the City’s growth.
You will also contribute to the strategies that will shape our future, manage a small case load of large and complex applications and represent the City in a variety of forums including council meetings and VCAT.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant qualifications and substantial experience in statutory planning or strategic planning, good knowledge of relevant acts and planning provisions, have a strong appreciation of strategic objectives and the link to planning controls, strong team leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills.
A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
