We are seeking an experienced land use planner to lead the preparation, delivery, and implementation of a new planning scheme (City Plan). City Plan will guide the future growth and development of our City over the next 25 years.

What you’ll bring

We would love to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Successful management of major strategic land use planning projects in politically sensitive environments.
- High-level knowledge and understanding of emerging issues, legislation, and best practices in strategic land use planning and statutory planning scheme drafting.
- Proven high-level research, analytical, and problem-solving skills in the identification, investigation, development, and evaluation of policy and strategy options.
- Expertise in effective stakeholder engagement with both internal and external customers, as well as the broader community.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex planning concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
Eligibility
- You'll have relevant tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or an equivalent field. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate extensive experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
