Strategic Planning Manager

This is a unique opportunity for you to work with Victoria's leading residential developer - Villawood Properties - as it undertakes extensive growth in central and regional Victoria. Villawood Management Bendigo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior planner who can guide the preparation of plans and the PSP process in delivering residential land for new communities in Bendigo, Shepparton, Woodend, Harcourt, Ballarat, Moama and more!
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the strategic planning processes for Villawood’s significant land holdings in northern Victoria.
- Lead the Precinct Structure Plan processes for various areas, including engaging with relevant consultants as appropriate.
- Undertake high level engagement and collaboration with the relevant local Councils and/or State Government and agencies to ensure timely processes and outcomes.
- Commission, as required, studies and reviews to ensure all relevant information and material is provided as part of the rezoning and/or Precinct Structure Plan process for all sites in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely and excellent outcomes for all aspects of the planning processes for each development area.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- You must have relevant qualifications and significant senior experience in understanding and planning for new growth.
- You must be someone who is innovative, an inclusive team player and results oriented.
- You must know how the complex residential process works and how to ensure all development and planning issues are accounted for in a timely manner.
- You must have an excellent understanding of local and State government planning and other agency processes.
- You must be an excellent communicator with strong skills in negotiation.
- You may be based in Bendigo or nearby, subject to discussion.
