This award celebrates the outstanding contributions made by women in the Tasmanian planning and built environment sector within the past 12–24 months. In this inaugural year, we warmly welcome applications that reflect the diverse range of achievements and progress women bring to the profession. Nominees at all career stages—from emerging professionals to seasoned leaders—are invited to apply and help set the standard for future awards.

Eligibility

We invite nominations from women across all stages of their careers who demonstrate a commitment to advancing the planning profession, whether through professional work, volunteer roles, or community engagement.

91porn membership is preferred but not essential.

Self-nominations are welcome; self-nominees must include a peer testimonial and two references.

Please note: Committee members of the Women in Planning Network are ineligible while serving on the committee.


This award values:

  • A demonstrated commitment to excellence in planning, through professional work, volunteer roles, or community engagement.
  • Meaningful contributions to the planning and built environment sector across Tasmania, including regional areas.
  • Emerging or established leadership qualities and the ability to positively influence peers.
  • Active support for women in the planning and built environment profession(s).

Criterion 1: Introduce Yourself or the Nominee

Maximum 200 words (weighted 20%)

  • Professional Role: Describe the nominee’s role within their team, organization, or sector, highlighting specific responsibilities or unique contributions.
  • Experience and 91porn Membership: State the nominee’s current 91porn membership status or eligibility for Full or Graduate membership.
  • Nomination Type: Indicate whether this is a self-nomination or third-party nomination. Self-nominees must include a peer testimonial and two references.
  • Professional Values and Aspirations: Share the nominee’s motivations, core values—such as commitment to integrity, innovation, public service, or social equity—and how these drive their work.
  • Impact and Inspiration: Describe how the nominee contributes meaningfully to their team, organization, or sector. Examples could include creating a supportive team environment, introducing innovative ideas, or mentoring colleagues.

Criterion 2: Contribution or Achievement in the Past 12–24 Months

Maximum 500 words (weighted 40%)

  • Describe the nominee’s contributions or achievements within the last 12–24 months, highlighting how they have advanced the planning profession.
  • Outline specific projects, initiatives, or operational contributions that showcase the nominee’s impact on the planning sector. Include any challenges faced and how they were overcome.
  • Contributions can include project-based work or ongoing professional roles, in either paid or volunteer capacities. If the nomination is project-based, the project must have been active in some capacity during 2022–23.

Criterion 3: Support for Women in the Planning Profession

Maximum 500 words (weighted 40%)

Describe how the nominee has supported and championed women within the profession. Examples may include:

  • Advocating for greater diversity and inclusivity in planning, demonstrating action or leadership in these areas.
  • Leading planning outcomes that enhance inclusivity, equity, or safety for women.
  • Inspiring and empowering women or students through policies, initiatives, or legislative changes.
  • Serving as a role model and advocate, potentially breaking barriers or setting "firsts" for women in planning.

Conditions

  • Supporting Information: Testimonials or references (maximum of three) may be attached separately and do not count toward the word limit.
  • Judging: The panel’s decision is final. At their discretion, multiple winners may be selected.
  • Privacy: All submissions will remain the property of 91porn TAS. Personal details will not be shared outside 91porn TAS.
  • Publicity: By accepting the award, winners agree to participate in reasonable marketing activities, including interviews, photos, and videos. 91porn TAS reserves the right to publish award results and winner details.

Submission Checklist

  • Completed and signed online nomination form.
  • Profile images (1–3 high-quality images).
  • Statement addressing each criterion.
  • Attachments/supporting information (e.g., testimonials and references).
