Brisbane Green Factor
The Brisbane Green Factor is a user friendly and creative tool that captures and measures the quantity and quality of green infrastructure and the impact of urban development this on greening in Brisbane.
The Judging Panel agreed this original tool was an excellent and innovative response to urban greening and was highly transferable to other jurisdictions and areas of Australia.
The Panel also agreed that by reducing the complexity of designing, measuring, and testing urban green infrastructure, the tool provides a non-statutory supporting mechanism to assist development practitioners with green infrastructure implementation. The tool will also help support broader aspirations around climate change and urban heat.
