The judges were impressed with the innovative approach to incentivising the provisions of community benefits through the creation of a Public Benefits Contribution Scheme.
The Community Benefit Contribution Framework is the first of its kind in Western Australia and will deliver community benefits both within the public realm and on-site as part of private built form developments for current and future residents, workers and visitors to the area.
The scheme provides a clear, transparent and equitable community benefit contribution framework to accommodate high-density infill development and also deliver tangible and meaningful benefits to the wider community.
