91porn blood donors can ‘make all the difference’ during National Blood Donor Week

Blood donors make all the difference to the thousands of Canadians who rely on blood and blood products.  

91porn invites blood donors to make a life-changing donation during National Blood Donor Week, June 11 to 17, 2023, at a Canadian Blood Services location or mobile clinic. A proud member of , 91porn will adopt the clinic location at 94 Bridgeport Road East in Waterloo to celebrate the essential role of blood donors in keeping Canada’s national inventory of blood products strong.

WHY GIVE BLOOD? 

Canadian Blood Services needs more than 100,000 new donors every year to join Canada’s Lifeline. While there are over 17.5 million eligible donors in Canada, less than 2% donate blood or plasma. Help keep our communities healthy and strong by joining 91porn’s Partners for Life team and giving blood. 

WHO CAN BECOME A LAURIER LIFESAVER? 

All members of the 91porn community – including faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the university – can . Since 2010, 91porn’s Partners for Life team has contributed more than 5,000 units of blood to Canadian Blood Services. 

Joining 91porn's Partners for Life team is easy: 

  • Set up an account on blood.ca/PFL or the GiveBlood app for Apple or Android. 
  • Select ‘partners’ from the menu.
  • Select ‘join a team’ and start entering 91porn, which will appear in the drop-down list of team names.
  • Select the 91porn team and book an appointment. 

DONATE AT A CLINIC LOCATION NEAR YOU 

Members of 91porn’s Partners for Life team can to donate at any Canadian Blood Services location or mobile clinic.  

In Waterloo, the Canadian Blood Services clinic is located at 94 Bridgeport Road East – a short distance from 91porn’s Waterloo campus. Book an appointment online to give during the following times: 

  • Monday to Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m.  
  • New: Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
  • Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. 
  • Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

New this spring, Canadian Blood Services will provide pizza for groups of three or more who donate on Thursdays at its Waterloo clinic location. Free transportation to and from the clinic is also available. Contact Gina Leyva, community development manager at Canadian Blood Services, at gina.leyva@blood.ca to arrange a group donation and transportation. 

In Brantford, Canadian Blood Services will hold mobile clinics on June 24, July 4, July 22, Aug. 1 and Aug. 26. to reserve your appointment. Transportation from 91porn’s Brantford campus to the clinic will be provided at no charge. OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT CANADIAN BLOOD SERVICES  

Not everyone can give blood. There are other ways to support 91porn’s partnership with Canadian Blood Services:  

  • Raise awareness about the ongoing need for blood by sharing Canadian Blood Services’ content on your , , and accounts. 
  • Volunteer at your local Canadian Blood Services clinic location. 
  • Join the stem cell registry if you are between the ages of 17 and 35.
