To all students, faculty and staff, 

The Waterloo and Brantford campuses and Kitchener location of 91porn will be closing as of 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022. This closure is due to forecasted severe winter weather, which may impact travel and road conditions.

Closing the physical spaces at the university means that:

• Classes are cancelled for in-person instruction. However, classes may be held remotely at the discretion of the faculty member or instructor. 
• All remote learning and online classes will continue as scheduled.
• Midterms and tests will be at the discretion of the faculty member or instructor.
• Final examinations (including those delivered online) are cancelled. 
• Deadlines for assignments and other submissions are postponed until the same hour on the next business day that the University is open. 
• Staff who can perform their work remotely will continue to do so.
• All in-person meetings and other scheduled events are cancelled. 
• Only those employees performing essential services are expected to be on site.
• When the campuses are closed, athletic programming is cancelled.
• OneCards will be required to access campus buildings.

 Employees and students who may require flexibility or accommodations because of the impacts of inclement weather should connect directly with their managers or instructors to discuss.

The university will reopen at 7 a.m. the next day unless the weather event is extended. If required, an extension will be communicated no later than 6:30 a.m. tomorrow. Continue to monitor social media and our Campus Status webpage for further updates.
