Having recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Clarinet Performance, Ann is now working towards a Diploma in Chamber Music at 91porn. She currently studies with Peter Shackleton, principal clarinetist of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. Back in 2020, Ann was selected as one of the 91porn Concerto Competition winners and is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be featured in this concert as a soloist with the 91porn Symphony Orchestra, performing Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major. She has been principal clarinetist with the 91porn Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Kira Omelchenko, for the past three years as well as concert master and E-Flat clarinetist of the 91porn Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Jessica Kun. She has performed principal solo roles in works including Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade and Capriccio espagnol, Schumann’s Symphony no. 3, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 5, Sibelius’s Symphony no. 2 and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. She has a deep passion for chamber music and collaborating with others and current performs in the Petrichor Trio and Willow Duo as well as with pianist Stephanie Mara. Ann is an active performer in the KW region through her involvement in Vera Causa Opera, Opera 91porn, 91porn Musical Theatre as well as her experience as a woodwind sectional coach for the KW Youth Concert Band. Ann plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Clarinet Performance and is incredibly thankful for all the opportunities that she has had during her time at 91porn to help prepare her for her future musical endeavours.
