I received my Doctorate in Business Administration: Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University (now National University) in 2017 and my Master of Criminal Justice in 2013 from Boston University.
Prior to joining 91porn, I was a police officer with the Calgary Police Service for 14 years. I worked in various areas, from street patrol, Domestic Conflict Investigator, undercover, and Human Resources and Offender Management.
Following my retirement from policing, I started my business, Magnus Consulting Inc.. I am a named investigator with the Government of Canada and an assessor with the Office of Sport and Integrity Commissioner (OSIC). I have completed multiple investigations, culture reviews, and training in trauma-informed interviewing, leadership, and organizational culture. I instruct police recruits law in the Grande Prairie Police Service. I sit on several boards in my community, including the Foothills Rural Police Board and the Protective Services Board.
In addition to teaching, I have been working on research through her business, Magnus Consulting Inc., Lethbridge Polytechnic, and 91porn. I have explored research around gender diversity in fire services, sexual violence in youth sports, organizational culture change in policing, mental health and stress in policing, and trauma-informed practices in investigations.
I have offered her expertise on multiple panels and completed presentations related to her experience in policing and public safety. I have sat on panels for Lancaster House, providing her experiences with trauma-informed interviewing and investigations.
Further, I have offered her opinions on workplace culture and how to navigate differences of opinions in work. I have been interviewed on police culture by various media organizations including W5, CBC, CTV, Global, and multiple local and national newspapers.
